Getting Married!

It’s been a long time, shouldn’t have left you… without a dope beat to step to…

So the Lord has been blessing me beyond my highest expectations.  Not only has He brought a beautiful, smart, lovely, funny, athletic, and GODLY woman who wants to have as many kids as I do (at least 5 =P), she even gets down to hip hop (been to more hip hop concerts than I have) and plays ball!  Haha, but most importantly, she has surrendered her life to Jesus Christ and will go anywhere and do anything He wants!

Mary Kate and I met in October, 2009 when I started serving at !mpact, the Youth Group at Calvary Chapel Old Bridge.  Since then, God has confirmed through Scripture, circumstances, our parents, and even prophetic words that we are to be married.  So on Valentine’s Day, I got on both knees, took her hands, prayed to our God in heaven, and asked her to marry me!

We’ve had our ups and downs since the engagement, but with Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, He has been the rock that we have been able to stand on through all of the trials and conflicts.  He is our firm foundation.  He keeps us where we need to be.  Sure there are times we give in to our own flesh and take our eyes off of Jesus.  However, He is so faithful and every time we fix our eyes back on Him, He showers us with His grace and blesses us to no end!

Am I excited about getting married?  You bet I am!  May 31st couldn’t come fast enough!  Less than a month away and we tie the knot!  I know we’ll face more trials and hardships in marriage, but I also know that with Christ in the center of our own individual lives as well as our marriage, there’s nothing He can’t get us through!

And don’t worry, Mary Kate fully supports me riding and loves to go for rides as well!  Looking forward to May 8th’s ride/bbq!  See you all then!
