Well, i finally got around to planning a ride for 2010, unfortunately it’s pretty last minute so i know a lot of people probably already have plans, including Howay. On top of that, it’s Independence Day weekend so i’m sure people will be traveling. But since it’s rare that i have a Saturday free to ride, i figure i’d open it up to anyone else who might be interested.
This year’s route is a new one. Having gone to Hawks Nest enough times to have memorized the route, i thought i’d try something new. The year i got my bike, i rode up to Harriman State Park but haven’t gone back since. Around the time Isaac was born Howay and I attempted to go back but the bitter cold kept us from actually making it there. I mapped out a completely new route to Harriman and hopefully we’ll be able to make it there. It’s free of all highways so i’m hoping it’ll be an eventful ride. Below is the map and directions which start roughly 1/4 of the way through since the first 1/4 of the directions are from the Hawks Nest Run.
I’ll try to get some new pics from the ride and post up a ride report after this weekend. If we make it there and back, we’ll cover roughly 200+ miles. Looking forward to it!

it’s my fault for not planning it earlier…too many things going on recently. we’ll plan another soon
